ABOUT US

The Arkansas Green Industry Association, AGIA, (formerly the Arkansas Nurserymen) is a professional trade organization  dedicated to serving  the Green Industry in the State of Arkansas and to the advancement of horticulture.

Through member benefits such as educational activities, a certification program,  a worker compensation safety group, yearly  trade show and seminars,  newsletters, member directories, buyers' guides, member decals, etc.,  the organization  strives to meet  the needs of the members. 


OUR PURPOSE...

  • To provide a state-wide trade association for those engaged in all aspects of the "Green  Industry "; nursery, landscape, garden center, growers, irrigation, etc.
  • To promote the  improvement of  professional abilities and knowledge.
  • To provide  members with educational opportunities, and information about such opportunities.
  • To cooperate with allied interests and support the horticultural trade.
  • To monitor matters of public policy concerning the industry.

 
 

  • To encourage professionalism and ethical dealings by members.
  • To promote greater use of nursery products by the general public.
  • To promote and support networking among members.
BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

What do I receive when I join?

• Subscription to the quarterly full color magazine, Plant Arkansas Bulletin.
• A copy of the AGIA Membership directory (published each spring.)  The directory contains AGIA information, a listing of all members, a listing of certified members, a chart of common conversions for weights and measure, a listing of Arkansas Select Plants, and a calendar of events, and commonly called numbers.
• Each member will get a detailed listing in the membership directory which includes name, address, phone, fax, email, web address, member name and title, a coding that tells you what type of company it is (landscape, garden center, supplier of goods, etc,) and a brief description of the company if it is supplied. 
• Decals for your place of business stating you are a member.  These can be placed on doors, vehicles, notebooks, etc. Show your customers that you are a professional!
• A certificate of membership for your office.  
• Opportunity to become an Arkansas Certified Nursery and Landscape Professional - ACNLP.
• The AGIA  watches legislative issues that may affect the industry and poised and ready to represent the industry if the need arises.
